First Tee – Greater Detroit is looking for enthusiastic, energetic, & caring individuals to help further our mission of delivering life skills through the game of golf to youth in the Greater Detroit area. Coaches will serve as positive mentors and role models to young people of various backgrounds.
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
First Tee exists to enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. We partner with parents, schools, and the community to provide evidence-based curricula for participants to achieve successful outcomes for their future. The Greater Detroit chapter is part of a national youth development organization that is focused on instilling life-enhancing values in children through the game of golf.

Coaches will deliver the First Tee Golf and Life Skills Curriculum. Coach development trainings are provided.
Seasonal programs run six weeks, one day per week, per site, for one hour. We ask that our coaches commit to an entire six-week period at a specific site. This is crucial to developing and establishing positive relationships with the participants.
